There’s something magical about turning an ordinary cookie into something so much more with the help of a cookie cutter, but the real magic starts where the cookie cutters are made — in a factory.

This complex process takes quite a few steps, but watching it happen is so satisfying! That’s why Off The Beaten Path, a family-run business, started sharing behind-the-scenes videos of their own cutters being made.

For starters, the metal strips that make up the cutters themselves have to be shaped around a metal mold. To make that happen, metal pieces of various sizes press against the strips so they take the proper form. Each one is unique to the shape of the cutter, and it’s absolutely mesmerizing to watch, something that’s been done over 4 million times on Facebook!
