Lakeland (Fla.) four-star wide receiver Tyler Williams tells 247Sports that he will announce a college commitment on Sept. 27th. The date is significant for the the rising senior as it's when his uncle passed away. It's also his grandmother's birthday.

Williams will pick between five schools: Georgia, Texas A&M, South Carolina, Clemson and Ole Miss.

"These are the schools that have been recruiting me the hardest and the ones that I got the best relationships with," Williams said over the phone. "I feel like I can be my best at these schools."

Williams took official visits in June to Georiga, Texas A&M, South Carolina and Clemson. He's scheduled to get out to Ole Miss the weekend of Sept. 3 for his fifth and final official visit.

"It's really just who will do the best job recruiting me and showing me why I should pick their school in the end," Williams said when asked about deciding factors.

Williams has talked up Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs in the past. So, it isn't surprising that the defending national champions are trending on the 247Sports' Crystal Ball for the blue-chip talent. It should be noted, however, some close to Williams think that the recruitment is far from over.

The team at 247Sports currently pegs Williams as the nation's No. 29 wide receiver in the class of 2023, but he's a prospect that will have a chance to rise in the rankings over the next few months given his unique profile as Williams is a former high school quarterback that also can score on the hardwood and at one point held a basketball offer from Florida Gulf Coast.

Part of the 247Sports' scouting report for Williams can be found below.

"Kind of a linear deep-ball specialist at this stage in his development, but that could be a product of the run-first offensive system that he played in as a junior (only caught 21 passes). Has produced in key situations and helped flip the field time after time, but will need to keep progressing as a route runner and learn how to consistently create separation when working the lower numbers of the route tree. Must also eventually add some core strength as that should allow him to be an effective perimeter blocker. Added weight could also make him more dangerous when the ball is in his hands. Will likely need some time to mature and figure things out at the next level, but rare athletic ability combined with promising measurables suggests that he can eventually emerge as a big-play machine for a Power 5 program."
